Caebasexual (pronounced kay-ba) is a micro-label to abasexual used to describe an individual who was once allosexual, but due to trauma had it "cut away" and became asexual (caedsexual). Due to the same, different, past or on-going trauma, one became allosexual once again (abasexual). In other words, a caebasexual individual's sexuality was once caedsexual, but due to trauma, has now become abasexual, making them caebasexual.
Caebasexual is exclusive to those who have experienced trauma.
The romantic counterpart is caebaromantic. The opposite of caebasexual is abaedsexual.
History
Caebasexual was coined by Reddit user u/hiitsyaz on June 1, 2021. Its flag was designed by FANDOM user Reign of the breadsticcs on July 3, 2021.
Etymology
The word "caeba" is a combination of the prefixes aba- and caed-.
