Reclaimed bubblegumian flag - previously used by sapphomorics.

Not to be confused with bubblegumgender or gumgender.

Bubblegumian or gumian is a term to refer to anyone regardless of race, gender, etc, that identifies as anything relating to "sapphic". If one has queer attraction to women and is vehemently against radfem and exclus rhetoric in the community, they are free to use the term and flag.

Not all bubblegumian individuals may be comfortable being called "sapphic" or "lesbian".

Its masculine counterpart is wavean.

History and Flag

This term was coined by twitter user @/jojohandholder on October 16, 2021 as a way to reclaim and repurpose exclusionist identities. The flag has been reclaimed and repurposed from the harmful, original term "Sapphomoric."

Etymology

Bubblegumian was chosen because the flag looks flavorful and sweet. It was also chosen to reflect the kindness and diversity of the sapphic community.
