Apathsexual or apasexual refers to someone who lacks interest in acting on their attraction. It may or may not be considered an ace-spec identity. It can be considered similar to pomosexual or other nonorientations, as it does not matter if the individual does or does not experience sexual attraction. An apathsexual individual feels indifferent, neutral, or apathetic to the idea of attraction or orientation. They are also indifferent acting on their attraction or having attraction be reciprocated.
Apasexual is sometimes used as another word for lithosexual, however the two can have different definitions.
History
The term apasexual exists since at least between 2012 and 2014.[1][2][3]
Flag
The apathsexual flag was designed by Ariel Franz in the blog Assexualidade Brasil on October 29, 2016.[4]
