AGABpunk, also known as NeoAGAB, XenoAGAB, and BirthGenderPunk, refers to someone who either rejects their AGAB in favor of one they prefer, doesn’t wish to disclose their AGAB for any reason, or simply doesn’t find the concept of AGAB to be important or relevant and chooses their own.
History
The first instance of a neoAGAB being coined seems to be ASAB (Assigned Sleepy at Birth) by the now-deactivated kenochoric-moved on Tumblr. The terms "AGABpunk" and "neoAGAB" were both coined by Tumblr user mourningmogaicrew on August 8th, 2022.[1] The definition was clarified by Tumblr user plutos-flags on January 28th, 2023. The term "BirthGenderPunk" was also coined in this post.[2]
